Privacy Policy

Our promise

Zbounety is built privacy-first. All scanning and saving happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, sell or share your customers' phone numbers, your contacts, or the content of your messages.

What the app reads

To do its job, the app reads the phone numbers and chat titles already visible in your WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, call log or SMS inbox, and checks them against your existing contacts. This reading happens on-device only, and the results are written straight into your phone's Contacts app.

The app never reads the content of your messages.

What we receive

The only information our server ever receives is your license key and basic activation data needed to verify your subscription (for example, a device identifier and app version). This is used solely to confirm your license is valid and has not expired.

Anonymous statistics

The app also sends an anonymous count of how many numbers it has saved in total, so we can show overall community totals (such as the live counters on this site) and understand usage. This is a number only — never a phone number, contact, name, or message. It is sent at most once a day, only when your device is online, and is tied to your license key rather than to you personally. If your device is offline the count is simply sent the next time you are connected.

Permissions

Accessibility is used only to read the visible chat titles so the app can find unsaved numbers. Contacts access is used only to check for duplicates and to save new customers. Optional call-log and SMS permissions are used only when you choose those sources. No permission is used for any other purpose.

Data storage

Your saved contacts live in your phone's own Contacts app. The app's settings, counters and scan history are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us.

Third parties

We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs that track you. Number parsing uses Google's libphonenumber library, which runs locally on your device.
